Not sure when exactly I'll be going to Vegas in September, but from the photos in the database are there any of you out there that can suggest a good Hotel with a nice out look on McCarran International or close to Nellis AFB or spotting locations? I found this one, from the location of where it was taken, would this be airside, groundside or from a Hotel balcony?

Pretty sure that is taken from the top of the parking garage, though it looks like Sam got that late in the rotation for he has most of the MGM in the background. As far as where to stay I would pick something south strip so it is easy to get to shooting locations. I would send Dave budd and email. His username is dbudd here and he is the mos accomadating spotter going. He will be more than happy to help you and show you around. Be advised Sam's picture is the rare 1R departure so keep your fingers crossed and it is a morning location as well. Good luck!

It is right that Dave Budd is very friendly ... One of the most friendly person I have ever met in my spotting career, maybe with also Paul Paulsen and Michael Carter in LAX ...

I met Dave in KLAS (Paul & Michael in KLAX) in February and I had a wonderful time with him ...
